Benefits of kissing

Benefits of kissing!! Are you amazed to listen this??
Many people do get amazed to know that kissing is not only romantic
but also there are some real benefits of kissing.
Matthew Messina, DDS, who is a dentist and consumer
advisor for the American Dental Association, says the
extra saliva produced during kissing washes bacteria off your teeth,
which can help break down oral plaque. Bryant Stamford,
PhD, director of the health promotion centre at the University of Louisville notes kissing can help out you lose calories.
“During a really, really passionate KISS,” he says, “you might lose two calories a minute – double your metabolic rate.”
Others claim that kissing exercises the facial muscles.
Here are some benefits:
A Kiss helps averts tooth decay. Dr. Peter Gorden, the Dental Advisor at the British Dental Association, explains. “After eating, your mouth is full of sugar solution and acidic saliva, which cause plaque build up. Kissing is nature’s own clean up process”, he adds. “It stimulates saliva flow and brings plaque levels down to normal.”

A Kiss is also believed to relieve tension. A passionate kiss is one of the great relaxation techniques, says stress consultant, Michelle Kay Mcnabb.” When your mouth is in a kissing position, you are more or less smiling and as our emotions and body language are so directly linked, it’s almost not possible to smile and sense tension at the same time,” she explains. “Also, your breathing becomes deeper and your eyes close when you kiss; that’s what you do when you relax. It’s an ideal way to shut out the world.”
A Kiss helps you nothing else but lose weight. What do you think just how long can you do that? You have to use 3000 calories to drop one pound, i.e., 30,000 minutes, 500 hours… “A stretched kiss makes the metabolism burn up sugar more rapidly than usual,” says Claire Potter. “The calories burned depend on the passion, but you can rely on 10 calories for every 10 minutes.”
A Kiss helps in slowing down the aging process. “Kissing helps to tone your cheek and jaw muscles, so they’re less likely to slump,” says Cosmo’s Fitness Consultant, Claire Potter.

A Kiss builds up fitness levels. When your heart is pumping, your pulse races…”If kissing is electrifying, you liberate adrenaline into the bloodstream and your heart pumps added blood about your body,” says Dr. Susan Hotchkies. “It’s an immense cardiovascular exercise.”

Stress liberation is an extra health benefit of kissing. It puts an end to the buzz in your mind, it quells nervousness, and it heightens the familiarity of being there in the moment. It essentially produces a group of the physiological changes that meditation produces. The fact that kissing leads to touching is also an added advantage. Touching as well as massaging release oxytocin, a hormone known to have a calming impact on the body.

  1. Yeah, there studies prove that kissing is good in dental health. But it would be better that you regularly brush your teeth, floss after eating and even after brushing, and gargle with mouthwash so it would be good to give kiss to someone without bad breath and lower the risk of passing any dental problem.
